Trapani Birgi, Summer 2022: scheduling of territorial continuity routes operated by Albastar

In addition to the consolidated flights to Brindisi, Naples and Parma, Albastar is to connect Trapani’s airport with Ancona, Perugia, Trieste.

Tickets for the territorial continuity routes operated by the airline Albastar from Trapani Birgi airport are officially on sale. In addition to the territorial continuity routes to BrindisiNaples and Parma that the Spanish airline has been operating since December 2020, the Iberian company has been awarded the Enac tender reassigning the routes to AnconaPerugia and Trieste left by the airline Tayaranjet, starting from 27th March 2022, the beginning of the summer season. Trapani Birgi Airport is Albastar‘s third operating base in Italy, with eleven connections at reserved rates for all Sicilian residents.

The president of Airgest, Salvatore Ombra, commented

“The award of the new tender by Enac for the territorial continuity routes to Ancona, Perugia and Trieste, is a dual source of satisfaction for the airport of Trapani Birgi, – claims the president of AirgestSalvatore Ombra – not only because the winning airline is Albastar, which has demonstrated over the last two years to be a professional and reliable airline, appreciated by our passengers, but also because the region has not lost three important subsidised routes that are a valuable contribution to the right to fly for the inhabitants of Trapani”.

The Chief Commercial Officer & Deputy C.E.O of Albastar, Giancarlo Celani, commented

“We are very satisfied with the outcome of the tender, which completes the airline’s project to operate all the routes set out in the territorial continuity tender, strengthening our presence in TrapaniAlbastar‘s third operating base in Italy, from where we have been routinely scheduling connections since the summer of 2020, becoming an important reference airline for the region”.
