Albastar presents its 2019/2020 sales programmes at the “TTG travel experience” trade show in Rimini

Albastar, the private Spanish airline, will be present at the TTG Incontri Trade Show in Rimini, from 9 to 11 October, at pavilion A1, stand 154.

Albastar will participate in the show satisfied with its reference market, after a 2019 summer season that recorded trends in line with expectations, with approximately 14 thousand flight hours and an annual turnover of approximately 100 million euro. At the closing of the current financial year, due next 31st October, results confirm a positive and upward trend, with an approximate 22% increase in traffic volume compared to last year.

2019 has been an important year: Albastar became an IATA member and obtained IOSA certification, demonstrating that its working methods guarantee the highest operational and safety standards.

In line with its development plan, Albastar will receive its fifth Boeing 737- 800 NG in the coming weeks. Albastar aims to complete its fleet renew in the summer of 2020, bringing the number of Boeing 737-800 in its fleet up to six. Five aircraft will have 189 seats in a single class and one Boeing 737-400 will have 170 seats in a single class.

With three operational bases in Palma de Mallorca, Milan Malpensa and Milan Bergamo, Albastar currently offers the market a functional and flexible business model that includes national and international connections, both for on-demand and scheduled traffic and has acquired numerous prestigious clients including European Tour Operators and Brokers.
For the upcoming winter season, Albastar confirms its scheduled flights to the airport of Catania for the fifth consecutive year, with flights leaving from Milan Malpensa and Milan Bergamo and will introduce new connections to the airport of Palermo from Milan Malpensa.

While, regarding scheduled flights in the leisure sector, Albastar will be adding direct flights to Marsa Alam from Milan Bergamo.
In relation to charter connections, links to Egypt/Red Sea from Milan Malpensa have been confirmed with flights to Sharm-El-Sheikh and Marsa Alam; from Milan Bergamo, connections to Egypt/Red Sea have been confirmed with flights to Sharm-El-Sheikh, Marsa Alam, the Canary Islands, Fuerteventura, in addition to the “new entries” Luxor (Egypt) and Porto Santo (Azores); from Verona airport, connections to Egypt/Red Sea have been confirmed with flights to Sharm-El-Sheikh and Marsa Alam.

Collaboration with incentive house and sports associations will continue to play an important role in the scheduling of ad hoc flights throughout the year.
The organisation of its commercial activities for summer 2020 is already underway and Albastar pledges its full commitment to reaffirm itself as a reference airline for European leisure travel with flights to the Balearic Islands, Canary Islands, Azores, Red Sea/Egypt, Greece, Israel, Italy and pilgrimage destinations.

With regard to religious and pilgrimage tourism, charter flights to Lourdes and Medjugorie from a vast Italian and European network have been confirmed. Scheduled flights to Lourdes are reconfirmed from May 2019 to October 2019, from Rome (Mondays and Thursdays) and from Milan Bergamo (Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays).
There has been an increase in incoming flights to the airport of Palma de Mallorca from Northern Europe, the United Kingdom and Ireland.

Albastar’s scheduled flight programme is now available on the website www.albastar.es, on the Amadeus (using the AP code) and BSP Italy and France (using code W2) reservation systems and through major and main online travel agents.
