Autumn in Piedmont

Visita il Piemonte in autunno con Albastar

In Piedmont the colors of the autumn foliage are amazing. From green to yellow, up to orange, red, purple and brown. The UNESCO heritage landscapes of the Langhe, Monferrato and Roero vineyards. The woods crossed by the historic Centovalli – Vigezzina railway “The foliage train” from Domodossola. The larch forests of the high valleys of Turin and Cuneo, in the Gran Paradiso National Park and in the Parco delle Alpi Marittime. In the scenery of the Biellese Alps, the Zegna Oasis Natural Park. Finally, the Parco del Valentino in Turin, a blaze of colors in the heart of the city.

And when the climate becomes milder, before the rigours of winter, there is a world of widespread beauty in Piedmont, of stories to tell, of aromas and flavors to try: 15 small towns inserted among the most beautiful villages in Italy, 34 awarded with the Orange Flag, a tourist-environmental quality mark, 5 with the Spiga Verde for sustainable rural development, 2 Blue Flags for sustainable beaches. And throughout the region a heritage of over a thousand municipalities under five thousand inhabitants, custodians of art, nature, history, food and wine and “typicality” as a model of life to be enjoyed with all the senses.

Autumn is also our explosion of flavors. October and November are the time for the White Truffle of Alba and the mountain cheeses and fine rice from Novara, Biella and Vercelli; of chocolate and 340 Typical Food Products to combine with great wines: 18 DOCG and 41 DOC varieties, most of which are the result of the UNESCO Langhe Roero and Monferrato wine landscapes: a treasure to taste and treat yourself to in 18,000 wineries and 14 regional wine bars .

Don’t miss
