CHECK-IN
CHECK-IN PROCEDURES
Everything is ready before your leave: you’ve prepared your luggage, checked your documents, said goodbye to friends and relatives. All you have to do is go to the airport and get on the plane! How long before my flight should I arrive at the airport? When do the boarding procedures close? Which documents do I need to show?
You can find the answers to all your questions here, so that you can leave with no worries!
Where can you check in?
Albastar does not have an online check-in service.
On the scheduled day of your flight, go to the departures area of the departure airport, look for the information panels showing the counter number corresponding to your flight, and proceed to the Albastar counter where you will check in your baggage by showing your identification document and ticket.
If there are no discrepancies between your documents and the ticket details, you will be given the boarding pass which will allow you to pass security checks and reach the boarding gate.
When can you check-in?
Check-in opens two hours before the departure time of your flight and closes 45 minutes before the scheduled departure.
Passengers must arrive at the airport with enough time to complete the check-in process and pass through security checks.
If the passenger does not comply with these time limits, Albastar may deny boarding and the passenger will not be entitled to any refund.
What documentation do you need to check-in?
On the scheduled day of departure, passengers must present themselves at the check-in counters with a valid identification document —suitable for entering the destination country— and their ticket.
It is the responsibility of each passenger to be informed about the identification or health documentation required to visit the destination country. This documentation may vary depending on the origin, destination, and dates. Therefore, it is recommended to consult your travel agency or the immigration authorities of the destination country for the relevant information and clarifications before proceeding to purchase a ticket.
Any penalties, fines, costs, or expenses arising from the lack of these requirements, or the absence of a valid document will be borne by the passenger.
Self-certifications shall not be accepted as proof of identity If the documents presented by the passenger are not valid or if the name of the passenger on the ticket does not match the identification document, Albastar may deny boarding and the passenger will not be entitled to any refund or compensation.
What documentation does a minor need to check in?
Minors must present themselves at the check-in counters with a valid identity document and any documents as required according to the regulations of the destination countries to enter their respective territories.
Parents or guardians must ensure that the minor is in possession of a valid identity document and additional prerequisites or documents required by customs and immigration authorities.
Any penalties, fines, costs, or expenses resulting from the lack of a valid document or any of these requirements will be the responsibility of the parents or guardians.
Therefore, it is recommended to contact your travel agency or the immigration authorities of the destination country to obtain significant information and clarifications before proceeding to purchase a ticket.
If the documents presented by the minor passenger are not valid, Albastar may refuse to allow boarding without entitlement to any refund or compensation.
Minors must go to the check-in counters with a valid identity document and other documents as required by the rules of the countries of destination for entry into their respective territories. Parents or those exercising parental authority must ensure that the minor is in possession of a valid identity document and additional requirements or documents required by customs and immigration authorities. Penalties, sanctions, costs or expenses resulting from the lack of such requirements or valid documents will be charged to the parents or the person exercising parental authority. If the documents exhibited by the minor passenger are not valid, the Airline may deny boarding and no refunds will be given.
